教育目標

The aims of this course are: 1. To introduce participants to emergent computing paradigms such as Parallel computing and Cluster computing, 2. To introduce participants to emergent computing paradigms such as Grid computing and Cloud computing, 3. To provide lectures and practical courses on novel techniques to achieve scalability, elasticity, parallel programming in distributed systems, 4. To present IaaS and PaaS cloud systems, 5. To present cloud and grid applications.

課程概述

Both Cloud and Grid computing and its applications are areas of rapid technical developments. Many technical developments are still in flux. This course will include lectures on modern distributed paradigms such as Grid computing, Cloud computing, and Parallel programming. We will combine lectures from research leaders shaping the future of distributed systems and world leaders in deploying and exploiting distributed infrastructures. Hands-on laboratory exercises and practical sessions using Grid and cloud software will give participants experience on using modern distributed systems. We investigate resource management and scheduling, network and other information monitoring issues, as well as software architecture and programming models for cloud and grid. The course consists of an introductory lecture, parallel computing, cluster commuting and grid computing, cloud computing environment installation and setup.
