教育目標

本課程將以歷史社會學的發展、關懷的課題和研究的手法做為討論的方向，希冀在一個學期的課程中，讓修課同學掌握社會學與歷史研究的趣味，理解歷史取向的社會研究的價值與必要。課程將以幾本中西文的著作做為閱讀和討論的基礎，以此分析、觀看歷史社會學的研究特質，以及因果分析和比較研究可能產生的知識洞見。除了進行知識論和方法論層面的討論外，實際的人類歷史進程和面對歷史的態度與判斷，也是課程在意探討的重點。

課程概述

1、 概述馬克斯、涂爾幹、韋伯、芝加哥社會學派、傅柯、卜爾迪、哈伯瑪斯等的歷史社會學。 2、 探討歷史和社會學共同關注的課題，包括社會移動、社會衝突、社會變遷、集體行為、「交流理性」、「相互結構」、個人和共同體的主體性。
