The main objective of this class is to study the fundamental concepts necessary for designing, using, and implementing database systems. The course stresses the fundamentals of database modeling and design, the languages and facilities provided by database management systems, and system implementation techniques.

本課程教導學生認識資料庫管理系統，開發資料庫系統的步驟，利用各種模式建立與設計資料庫，進而學習SQL語法，並實際操作與建立資料庫及其應用。
