教育目標

由於獨特的歷史定位與蓬勃的工業發展，台灣是一個使學生了解何謂永續(Sustainability)之絕佳的學習地點，。此外，在台灣發展國際競爭力的過程中，自然環境負荷的不平衡對於台灣永續發展帶來極大的衝擊。因此，如何在保持經濟活動力及競爭力的同時，維護自然資源、保護國民的健康及增進社會福祉、和諧與財富，成為了台灣在21世紀重要的任務。此課程為本校與香港理工大學聯合開設永續工程課程，藉由豐富內容的安排以期許學生能從中探索及熟悉與永續工程相關的知識，進而誘發及建立學生未來從事永續發展。
