教育目標

On completion of the course, students should be able to 1. recognize the elements of sentence structure; 2. improve their reading comprehension; 3. express their ideas in single sentences more effectively; and 4. develop a perspective on the relative importance of several ideas in a single sentence.

課程概述

This two-credit course is designed to give students a foundation in the basics of standard English grammar. There will be more detailed discussions of many aspects of grammar such as sentence patterns, phrases, clauses, and punctuation. Then students will be given exercises that emphasize sentence-level writing skills to apply their knowledge of the material they have studied.
