This course introduces the fundamental empirical methods and their applications in a range of topics of applied microeconomics, including health, labor, education, welfare, regional economics, tax and public policy, political economy, and industrial organization. In specific, the course covers the following two parts: 1. Empirical methods in microeconomics: linear models, panel data models, binary and multinomial response models 2. Topics in applied microeconomics: health, labor, education, welfare, regional economics, tax and public policy, political economy, and industrial organization.
