教育目標

This course has two basic objectives. First, it provides an introduction to the substantive, methodogical, and theoretical underpinnings of the political science discipline. This objective entails examining the major theoretical and methodological approaches employed by political scientists. The concepts and approaches scholars use in the analysis of political phenomena. Second, we will discuss in depth the mechanics of research design. Throughout the semester, you will (I hope) sharpen your analytical and critical skills. The reading load is heavy (but that‘s life in grad school!). You are responsible for a whole bunch of articles. This class is open to students who don’t register this class and only sit in the back of the class, but these students are responsible for some of the readings and help to summarize them. Readings are made handy for you.
