教育目標

This is a two-semester design course and is an introduction course to the fundamental concepts of chemical process design. Equipment design methodologies and process analysis techniques utilized in the evolution of a chemical process design from initial process research stage to preliminary equipment design will be introduced. Specific topics include economical and profitability analysis, cost estimation and depreciation methods, selection, and design of chemical process equipment involving fluid transport, heat transfer, mass transfer, and reactions. Topics concerning selection of design variables, degree-of-freedom concepts, and basic optimum seeking methods as applied to process design will also be covered. Basic concepts of process synthesis will be presented, along with the use of computers to solve chemical plant design and flowsheet simulation problems. The coursework also involves the completion of open-ended design projects.

課程概述

本課程以基本化工製程設計為主,介紹課題包括相關流體輸送,熱傳,質傳,反應等製程設備的選擇、設計與評估,此外課程討論程序系統自由度,與運用電腦來解決程序設計的問題和化工流程模擬的方法,以及基本程序合成之觀念,學生須完成一個化工製程設計的學期計劃。
