Review and practice of export methods utilized by medium and small businesses. Students will complete a 6 dimension analysis of a selected company covering company readiness, management, market analysis, logistics, shipping and financial matters pertaining to an effective export campaign. The work will culminate in a group presentation of a selected firm’s export plan.
This course focuses on the concerns of the practicing international trade professional worldwide. It has been designed to form a sound foundation and understanding of the principles, terminology and the relationships of the needs of the practical working import/export professional.
The practice of international business can be thought of as an extension (expansion) of basic domestic sales with the added complexities of the tasks involved when transacting business overseas.
