教育目標

This course aims to help students to make various connections: global-local connection, input-output connection, knowledge-reality connection, surface-depth development, and self-other(s) connection. The teaching materials, class activities, assignments, and assessment are selected and designed to mold each student into an active, reflective and motivated English user and cross-cultural learner.

課程概述

This course aims to enhance university students English proficiency and to raise their cross-cultural awareness. The course content centers on the culture shock experiences. Through each story of cross-cultural misunderstandings, the students may obtain a better understanding of their own and that of others. The course is designed for students with an intermediate English proficiency level. It will include diversified class activities to guide students to explore the values of diverse cultures and to improve their English skills.
