99年第1學期-4344 植物演化生態學 課程資訊
This course will introduce the field of phenotypic plasticity. We start from sources of trait variation within species, and then consider both empirical observations and theoretical views of evolution. Two focuses will be plasticity in tree species, and plant communication, which is phenotypic plasticity to other plants.
Initially, we will discuss papers virtually on the web. When Susan Dudley arrives in Taichung, then class meetings will be arranged. Students will be evaluated on their participation in class discussions, and will write a paper related to phenotypic plasticity.
