教育目標

In addition to content knowledge of classroom management and other related areas (such as teacher development and emotional learning),the students are expected to master Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) skills at the end of the semester, which includes 1. Retrieving skills 2. Analyzing skills 3. Evaluating skills 4. Organizing skills 5. Securing skills (confidentiality) 6. Presenting skills 7. Collaborative skills

課程概述

This is one of the four experimental courses initiated by the Tunghai Office of Teaching Excellence Projects. The most prominent feature of these courses is that 80% of the content is going to be retrieved from the iTunes University resources. In this MA class, the students will first watch preassigned videos, ranging from short clips to hour-long lectures, on classroom management and teacher development. The teacher role of the course is more that of a discussion facilitator than a knowledge provider. At suitable points, the teacher will raise questions for the students to answer and provide controversial topics for them to discuss. In the last 30 minutes of each class, the students will compare notes they have taken and reflect on their learning process. The students are also required to explore other related content from iTunes University resources and share what they learn with their classmates.
