This course concerns the characteristics, fabrication, application and commercial markets of polymeric composite materials. The content of this course includes: 1. the characteristics and properties of polymer composite materials;
2.the reinforcing fibrous components;
3.the matrix resins;
4. other additives;
5. common composite fabrication methods;
6. structure-property relationship;
7. basic test methods;
8. application examples;
9.the market outlook and environmental impacts of polymer composites.
