1. Introducing structures and functions of biomolecules, such as DNA, RNA, and protein.
2. Introducing the concepts of genetic engineering.
3. Introducing the methodologies in modern biotechnology, including PCR, sequencing, recombinant DNA, gene cloning, and etc.
4. Introducing the applications of modern genetic engineering.
