On completion of this course, students should be able to:
- speak publicly and academically with more confidence;
- listen to public speaking critically, responsively, and objectively;
- present in English in a smooth, understandable, organized, and interesting fashion in both prepared and impromptu speeches; and
- reflect on the good points of their public speaking and on areas where improvement is needed
課程概述
This course is designed to give students more practice giving formal oral presentations in English. Areas covered include preparing speeches, using eye contact and appropriate body language, using visual aids (including PowerPoint) effectively, presenting with and without notes, and giving both prepared and impromptu speeches.
