The course will cover the following contents with median level suitable for advanced undergraduate students: Functions of random variables, Large samlpe theories, Central limit theorems, Point estimation, Confidence interval, Maximum likelihood method, Method of moments, Hypothesis tests (likelhood ratio test, t test, F test, two sample test), Chisquare test, Order statistics and Nonparametric method, Linear regression models.

「機率論」與「推論統計學」兩門課程(上、下學期)提供對於高等統計學的理論和方法的學習： 內容是作為學生學習統計理論的核心課程，提供統計相關課程的理論根基，並且培養未來修習更進階統計相關課程的能力，課程內容涵概相當的廣度與深度，強調學生能夠了解基本的理論統計概念及在不同情況下的統計程序。此課程也在於使經濟學的學生於日後進階學習計量經濟學等重要課程之前，能先建立相關的基礎。本學期此課程推論統計學的教學目的與大綱如下。
