1. have a basic understanding of Chinese syntactic terms;
2. be familiar with the grammatical structure of Chinese;
3. be able to analyse samples of relevant data for themselves;
4. be able to explain common grammatical errors in Chinese;
課程概述
This module provides an introduction to basic constructions in Chinese syntax from a generative perspective. Topics covered include Categories, Argument Structure, the Verb Phrase, Passives, and the Ba construction.
