教育目標

本課程介紹古典至浪漫前期音樂。 討論的課題包含當代主要的樂曲形式，風格，曲式結構，及音樂與當時政治，文化，社會背景的關聯。本課程教科書為Burkholder/Grout/Palisca, A History of Western Music （第8版），包括本書附上的CDs、樂譜 (anthology of scores)。每週作業包括課本特定章節的閱讀（reading assignment）及其中提到的曲目聆賞（listening assignment）。幾個重要的電子資料庫（如Grove Music Online、Naxos）將輔助教科書中的內容。 This course offers an introduction to the music in the Classic and early Romantic periods. We will study major forms, genres, and styles of the music in these periods in relation to its cultural context, including major political, religious, and artistic trends. Weekly assignments listed in this syllabus refer to both the excerpts from various chapters in our textbook (reading assignment) and the music examples in these chapters (listening assignment). 課程概述

本課程的教學目標如下1.建立完整而清晰的「音樂史」觀念。2.建立西方音樂史的「貫時性」與「共時性」認知。3.瞭解西方音樂在古典時期的風格特色與發展。4.培養學生對於西方古典時期音樂作品與風格之理解、分析能力。5.培養學生建立起西方音樂之歷史理論基礎。 二、評分標準（以百分評量方式計算）： 平時成績40%（不定期隨堂測驗、課程參與） 期中考試30%（考試題型：選擇題、申論題、聽音、總譜辨識等） 期末考試30%（考試題型同期中考試）
