1. Students will be able to identify the key components and features of poetry (e.g. line, stanza, rhyme, meter, rhythm, speaker, setting, theme, tone, word choice, word order, visual imagery, and figures of speech).
2. Students will be able to interpret poetry through a critical analysis of its key components and features.
3. Students will be able to express their interpretation in speaking and writing.
