Additive manufacturing is any of various processes used to make a 3D object. Additive processes are used, in which successive layers of material are laid down under computer control. Introduces and provides an overview of the latest AM technologies which use to apply on Prototyping, Product Design & Development, Medical, Culture and Innovative Industry. Includes these topics: additive manufacturing introduction, AM technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, DLP, 3DP, etc.) AM process chain, materials, imaging process, direct metal deposition, applications. The course will also contain learning projects to operate 3D printers from image design to final prototype print out.
