本課程授課重點在於計算各種壽險內容所需負擔之保費，本課程共有四大重點： (一) 利率及相關之計算。包含年金、投資報酬率、各種利率之比較與轉換。 (二) 生命表。包含生命表上各項目之意義及運用。 (三) 自然純保費。計算根據固定的利率水準、根據生命表所建立之各種不同年齡投保人之死亡機率，計算各種不同保險內容所應負擔之保費。 (四) 應繳總保費。根據(三)計算出自然純保費之後，再考慮其他附加支出各項，如佣金、帳管費用等計算出應繳總保額，也同時考慮解約退保時的相關事項。
