The course will examine questions such as:
• What are Taiwan’s economic, social, and political challenges and prospects?
• What does it mean to be “Taiwanese”?
• What are “Taiwanese values,” and how have they changed historically?
• What are my personal values, as an individual, as a Taiwanese, and as a citizen of the world?
• What is my identity as a global citizen?
課程概述
In this course, we explore some of the historically important philosophical questions relating to the human person. This will include discussions about the existence (or non-existence) of free will; the question of what makes you the particular person you are; and the nature of the human (and non-human mind).
