To enable students of Chemistry and other departments to have deeper understanding in the diverse structural, chemical and mechanistic aspects of biomolecules, including carbohydrates, lipids, peptides, and nucleic acids. This course also focus on the stereochemical interactions of biomolecules, including enzyme-substrate interactions and DNA-ligand interactions.

Important papers in major biochemistry journals will be quoted for students to study, eg. Nature, Science, J. Biol. Chem., Biochemistry, PNAS, J.Am.Chem.Soc. and others
