1. To learn the causes of Latin American Independence from European colonization and subsequent formation of the Latin American states. 2. To read about Latin American and Brazilian narrative and poetry since 1810. 4. To learn about Latin American popular culture, art and architecture, traditions and transformations in music, the theater space and cinema. 5. To learn about the Hispanics in the USA. 6. To be exposed to Spanish Language activities including its Grammar, writing, reading and speaking.
