教育目標
On completion of the course, students should be able to
1. recognize the elements of sentence structure,
2. Read texts with improved comprehension,
3. express their ideas in single sentences more effectively; and
4. display a perspective on the relative importance of several ideas within a single sentence.
課程概述
This three-credit course is designed to give students a strong foundation in the basics of Standard English grammar. There will be detailed discussions of many aspects of grammar such as sentence patterns, phrases, clauses, and punctuation. Students will be given exercises that emphasize sentence-level writing skills in order to apply their knowledge of the material studied in class.
