教育目標

On completion of the course, students should be able to a) display orally and in written form their linguistic and cultural knowledge of the idiomatic and colloquial expressions acquired in the course by using them in predefined contexts appropriately; b) display orally and in written form their memorization and control of various expressions by using them deliberately and appropriately in extended discourses; c) display their communication, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities and skills by using the expressions spontaneously and appropriately in prepared and impromptu pair or group interactions at normal speech rate in extended discourses; d) display their abilities to sustain and/or enhance their interest and motivation in learning English by regularly attending class, actively participating in in-class activities, and creatively using as many idiomatic and colloquial expressions as they can in class; and e) display their abilities to use English language learning strategies and resources to support their independent study abilities by incorporating expressions acquired outside the course into their in-class oral activities.
