教育目標

On completion of the course, students should be able to 1. identify major world challenges we face today; 2. express their points of view related to these challenges more comfortably and effectively; and 3. apply what they have learned to help mitigate or resolve these challenges through volunteer work and/or awareness raising activities/campaigns.

課程概述

This course is designed to familiarize students with contemporary global issues such as climate change, gender equality and environmental issues. Students will read, watch and discuss materials covering twelve global challenges. They will also have the opportunity to research and report upon these issues using various media sources. At the end of the course, students will be required to work in groups to create project-based solutions or recommendations for the global issues shared in class.
