This course is designed to help students develop their intercultural sensitivity, awareness, knowledge and communication strategies. Students are expected to study an overview of intercultural communication, widely researched theories, and issues likely to be faced in the target culture. Students will improve their intercultural communication competence through cross-cultural case studies, films, talks, group discussion, role-play and guided instruction. By discussing the process from encountering a foreign culture, students will re-discover one's own culture.
