This course will guide students through the major fields of interpreting studies as well as provide them with the opportunities to discuss and debate issues facing interpreters in various contexts. Basic skills in interpreter training will also be included in the course to equip students with not only good understandings of the profession, but also useful skills which serve as the foundation should one wishes to further their training in professional conference interpreting.
