1. The course bjectives include understanding globalization and its main drivers, describing the changing global economy and world order, explaining arguments surrounding globalization, and grasping global management practices. 2. The course contents cover introducing globalization, emergence of global institutions like WTO that facilitate it, drivers of globalization including reduced barriers and technology gains, shifting economic power and trade patterns towards emerging markets, debates on impacts of globalization pertaining to jobs, environment, sovereignty and inequality, and managing businesses amidst globalization by tailoring strategies to country differences while preserving efficiencies. 3. The key points are that globalization integrates national economies into a worldwide system, drivers like trade barrier reductions and Internet advances enable this integration, economic gravity is shifting towards developing countries, globalization has vociferous critics and ardent advocates, and balancing local responsiveness and global integration is now an imperative.
