1. Enhance Interpreting Skills: Strengthen students' ability to apply their existing interpreting techniques across different modes, such as dialogue and consecutive interpreting, in professional meeting contexts. 2. Develop Preparation Strategies: Equip students with effective strategies for meeting preparation, including thematic research, terminology building, and understanding meeting structures and contexts. 3. Foster Collaboration and Professionalism: Cultivate teamwork skills and a professional mindset by encouraging students to liaise with clients, organize interpreting services, and reflect on their preparation process. 4. Apply Skills in Real-World Scenarios: Provide opportunities for students to organize and participate in meetings and conferences, allowing them to put their preparation and interpreting skills into practice in authentic settings.

The course will utilize authentic materials from meetings, drawn from the tutor's extensive professional interpreting practice, including real-world examples from past and potential future conferences. These materials will provide students with practical insights into professional contexts and challenges.

Additionally, students will explore and apply a variety of available online resources and tools to enhance their preparation and interpreting skills. These may include terminology databases, glossaries, meeting simulation tools, and other digital aids to support effective learning and application in realistic scenarios.
