At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to • Express and discuss their own ideas about the course films and related topics orally and in writing • Demonstrate understanding of these films’ roles in wider cultural conversations—the histories, issues, and impacts that shape their meanings. • Write an academic essay or creative work, or present a conference poster and short talk, expressing their views on issues raised in class discussion
