教育目標

In this course, we introduce the principles of macroeconomics, which examines the aggregate effects of individual, business, and government decisions on both the national and global economies. Specifically, macroeconomics analyzes key indicators such as national income, output, unemployment and inflation rates, and fluctuations in the business cycle to assess economic performance. Throughout the course, we encourage you to think like an economist, considering competing viewpoints and drawing conclusions from a range of perspectives, tools, and alternatives to better understand the national and global issues we face. This course covers the following topics: * Macroeconomic Goals, Measures, and Challenges * Unemployment, Inflation, and Economic Growth * Aggregate Economic Activities and Fluctuations * Money and the Monetary System * Fiscal Policy and Monetary Policy * Exchange Rate and the Global Economy After successful completion of this course, students will be able to (1) define and discuss key terminology of the macro economy, (2) describe and discuss standard theories of long-run and short-run macroeconomics, (3) discuss the impacts of fiscal and monetary policies using verbal, graphical and simple mathematical techniques.
