教育目標

On completion of the course, students should be able to 1) communicate more effectively in English; 2) elevate themselves from language learners to language users; 3) demonstrate their listening comprehension in both everyday conversations and academic passages; and 4) have a better understanding of the American culture.

課程概述

This is a listening-and-speaking course for intermediate-level students who wish to improve their fluency in conversational situations and their abilities in academic listening. The instructor will employ a wide range of oral and aural activities to provide students intensive practice in listening to and participating in everyday conversations. In addition, the instructor will provide stimulating listening passages from various content areas with extensive listening practice to prepare students for the challenges of academic listening.
