教育目標

This course is designed for Sociology sophomores to enhance their reading skills, critical thinking skills, as well as listening and speaking skills. With foci on vocabulary building and reading strategies, students in this course are expected to improve their reading ability and have more interaction with the articles they read. To promote student’s English learning motivation and develop critical thinking, authentic materials, such as newspaper and magazines, will be introduced to the course. Several reading, listening, and oral tasks will be assigned weekly. Students are expected to relisten to the daily radio program of their English learning magazine everyday and have weekly quiz on vocabulary words. Classroom activities include active reading, discussion, and oral presentation.
