教育目標

It is the purpose of this course to provide students with a basic understanding of the keyboard literature as it exists from the music of J. S. Bach to modern-day composers. The students should develop a concept of style with regard to each composer and their compositions. Style traits of each composer and the era in which they lived will be of chief importance. By the end of the semester, the students should know the difference for example, between pieces by Schumann and Chopin and should be able to explain those difference.
