This is a listening and speaking course for intermediate-level students who wish to improve their fluency in conversational situations and their abilities in academic listening. The instructor will employ a wide range of oral and aural activities to provide students intensive practice in listening to, and participating in, everyday conversations. In addition, the instructor will provide high-interest listening passages from the content areas with extensive listening skills practice to prepare students for the challenges of academic listening. Classes will meet twice a week, three hours in total.

The course objectives of this class are (1) to improve students oral fluency in conversational situations and (2) to improve their abilities in academic listening
