課程概述

What inspires you to learn? What inspires you to improve yourself? What inspires you to practice English? How can you express and share those ideas to others? This course will will focus on what inspires each of us to expand our English knowledge, build our English vocabulary and enhance our English communication skills. We will spend time exploring our interests, hobbies, friendships, career/life goals, dreams and passions, along with support from some forms of media, such as TV shows, movies, music, books, magazines and websites, in order to find our inspiration. There will be seven or eight basic topics that will be broad enough to incorporate a variety of students ideas. Each topic will have one week of inspiration in which students present their ideas, thoughts, dreams, to classmates with supporting information; followed by one week of expression in which students expand their English usage while discussing and comparing ideas with the teacher and others in class. Each topic will also have a period of reflection in which students will write, e-mail, and discuss their follow-up thoughts with the teacher and classmates.
