ㄧ、隨著公共衛生水準的提升、醫療科技進入與人口政策推行成功,使得人類平均壽命延長且出現人口老化的現象,且身心障礙的比例亦逐年增加;人們對於健康、醫療與長期照護的需求亦日益增加。為因應高齡化社會,本課程將兼顧鉅視面與微視面角度來探討長期照顧相關之議題,並企圖發掘社會工作介入的層面以及提供之服務內容。 二、本課程以教師授課為主,學生小組之專題與期刊閱讀之報告為輔,另安排課外之機構參訪,強化理論與實務之交流。 三、針對碩班學生:期待培養日後長期照顧領域之專業社會工作人才,以及了解長期照顧領域之需求,並進而有能力進行相關議題之研究。 四、針對博班學生:除上述對碩班學生之期待外,將期待博班學生將長期照顧理論與實務結合,並企圖對相關領域之政策規劃提出建議。

Although students might suggest their self-interested foci, the existing varieties of needs, demands, issues, and problems occurred in the LTC practice are the major course concentration. Through in-class learning and interactive experience, students are expected to reach the following objectives: (1)to identify, verify, and present the emerging LTC issues with a professional judgment; (2)to equip with relevant knowledge, tactics, and skills as the practice capacities for applying to LTC arena; (3)to provide and orchestrate needed services to manage elders’ needs and/or problems in LTC setting; and, (4)to advocate with a social/societal concern on LTC institution from a stance of self-determination, ethical, welfare, and human right.
