這門課涵概總體性藝術與人文教育課程的目標，在於透過對音樂和美術教學法研究和實務的回顧與審查，以增進學生的思考、研究和實務方面的能力。同時也分析有關各樣教學法所使用的媒介、教學方式、理論以及分析教材和漸進式的藝術人文技巧與概念的發展。這們課也提供學生對於統整性的藝術與人文做整合性的課程設計，並透過課堂上特定的機會來發展學生所學習到的教學法和實務。
