教育目標

建築專業的核心關懷在於構築,構築是關於建造的過程與完成的構思設計,是專業理性考量的結果,但構築不止是展現一時一地的技術水準與建造理性,構築之所以打動人心在於它具有表現力,亦及是構築也須要掌握該時該地正在升起的新地平線,對於未來自有主張,並在構築實踐行動中不斷檢驗及修正。 本設計課程以構築為主題,目的在於寓學習於生活/實作,全班為一學習、生活與行動團隊,發揮動手做、做中學(learning by doing)的精神,安排半學期集體異地生活,將學習過程結合真實方案以付諸實現,並期望導向一種具有社會性意義的實踐行動。 因此本課程要求的學習成效,除了企圖在低限要求下的探索應變式構築模式,試探永續構築之順應(passive)表現的可能性,並嚐試以宜蘭地域為學習場域,探討構築形式與地域母體之關連、以及在地社會行動構築的可能性。

Society and culture, like language, retain their distinctiveness--- their ‘idnetity’---but the distinctiveness is never ‘the same’ for long. It lasts through change.
