教育目標

1. Build awareness of the theoretical orientations underlying fieldwork research. 2. Develop a basic understanding about the kinds of questions that can be addressed in English language teaching. 3. Develop undergraduate students’ research interest, researcher roles, analytical ability.This course introduces students to fundamental concepts, common research methods, and hot topics in English studies. Students will be immersed in fieldwork and learn various means of obtaining in-depth information about the values and implicated meaning of their collected fieldwork data, ranging from classroom observation, interviews, to documents. They will be taught to analyze and interpret their collected fieldwork data, through which they not only gain better understanding of the concepts, methods, and issues of English language teaching but also develop their research interest and researcher roles in English studies.

課程概述
