教育目標

Know relevant research methods 本課程介紹古希臘的歷史，自西元前二千年到西元前一世紀末。這一段時間在政治、哲學、文學、科學、藝術與文化的成就，對西方的影響非常巨大。課程進行大約按照時代順序，勾勒重要的政治、社會及文化發展的重要主題，以及與異文化之間的接觸與影響。課程從青銅時代、黑暗時代、前古典時期、古典時期、到泛希臘化時代，其中也對重要的主題進行說明，例如: 城邦、殖民、專政、民主，也包括主要的政治實體，例如: 雅典、斯巴達、馬其頓。課程將呈現古希臘的歷史是如何建構，同時也將介紹研究所需具備的基本能力。 This course is to introduce ancient Greek history, c. 1500-31BC. In this period the achievement in politics, philosophy, literature, science, art and culture, has great impact on the western civilization. The course will basically follow chronological order, to illustrate important political, social and cultural issues, as well as contact with foreign cultures and their influence. It will cover the bronze age, dark age, archaic period, classical period and Hellenistic period. Topics will include polis, colonization, tyranny, democracy, and political bodies such as Athens, Sparta and Macedonia. The course will also show how Greek history was established, and will introduce primary requirement for the research.
