Studying French party politics is helpful to understand Taiwan. Firstly, the students could grasp the concept of ascending and descending party. Secondly, the coalition of the major and junior parties is decisive for electoral success. Thirdly, whenever the economy goes wrong, the importance of the radical parties will arise.
