教育目標

Course Objectives 1. Have a better understanding of the history of slavery and its impact on American literature. 2. Be aware of the problems of representation of black Americans in literature and how black authors, playwrights, and filmmakers have attempted to counter this. 3. Be introduced to and have a basic working knowledge of the ideas inherent in critical race theory. 4. Be able to apply these ideas to the problems of race and representation in Taiwan. 5. High levels of English language proficiency in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. 6. Academic writing skill in research.
