Course Objectives: The objective of this course is to demonstrate the multi-dimensioned issues important to the management of the firms. By the end of the course, students should be able to systematically and strategically analyze business issues from a variety of perspectives and apply critical thinking through a problem solving approach that they have been developing in the class in the Asia Pacific region context. Course Contents: This course is designed to provide students with the chance to discuss real-life business scenarios or fictitious accounts of a business situation or dilemma, hence a heavy weight of individual participation frequency. Among the course's more specific objectives are the following: to promote greater understanding of regional business culture and practices in Asia Pacific region; to encourage students to take a continuing interest in the subject of Asian Pacific business, and to help students to think constructively and critically through analytical exploration of relevant materials. In addition, group project is undertaken to implement problem-solving skills.
