This advanced finance course aims to examine in depth major issues in international banking management today. English serves as the main working language in class, permitting students to interact with each other and the instructor in a global context. In addition to an extensive review of key terms in both English and Chinese in the banking industry, this course integrates essential analytic tools and discusses the rationale for innovations in banking management across countries worldwide. Intensive practice of formal oral presentations in English is also beneficial for those who intend to pursue a career in the global financial industry in the future.
As there is no single textbook that fits this course, relevant papers in the banking literature, supporting lecture notes, and supplemental material for in-class discussions are to be distributed following the progress of the course.
