As globalization continues to grow, supply chain complexity has significantly increased. Companies are more involved in the analysis of their supply chains. Therefore, the goal of is class is to introduce key concepts of supply chain management and to explore state-of-the-art decision methods. We will look into simple techniques that can be used in analyzing and designing supply chain networks. In particular, we will discuss the following aspects of supply chain: procurement, operations and distribution so that students will have a thorough understanding from upstream to down stream supply chain.
