The course will take some representative "Existentialist" and "Utopian/Dystopian" novels as the "materials" for the learners to know how to read them through some critical approaches. The former ones provide the perspectives to let each learner think of his/her life more significantly will the latter ones provide the perspectives on the relationship between the individuals and a community. The final goal of the course is to let the learners develop their own "selves" and consider they relationship to the others.
