This course is aimed at providing undergraduate students with a historical, social and descriptive synthesis on the current social welfare scene. The major emphasis is on the introduction and analysis of current issues of social welfare policies, and their trends and prospects to social welfare services

台灣近年來歷經家庭結構與社會變遷，高齡化與少子化導致人口結構失衡，新興的社會問題開始浮現，如長照需求日增，貧富差距日益擴大，青年人口面對貧窮化等問題。面對社會變遷所帶來的影響，政府必須提出相關政策予以回應。社會政策的推動將直接影響社會服務輸送，因此社工必需具備社會政策與立法相關知能。本課程目的在於使學生瞭解社會政策背後之運作思維與意識形態以及政策制定過程，並進一步思考社會工作者在社會政策制定過程中所扮演的角色。介紹社會政策基本概念與發展，價值與意識形態，政策制定過程以及福利國家發展與形態。此外將分別介紹國內重要社會福利政策，包括兒童，婦女，老人以及身心障礙者等相關政策與立法，使同學對於各個領域社會政策與內涵有基本認識與瞭解
